How Our Simulator Works
Damage Calculation
Aoe4Labs uses the exact damage formula found in the game engine. Unlike simple calculators, we account for every armor point, decimal attack speeds, and bonus modifiers.
Smart Weapon Selection (AI)
Units in Aoe4Labs are programmed with "Smart AI" to choose the most effective weapon for the target, mimicking skilled player behavior.
Villager Logic
Villagers use Knives against biological units but automatically switch to Torches when attacking Siege units or Buildings.
Mixed Weapons
Units with multiple attacks simulate all weapon slots firing simultaneously based on their individual reload times.
Mass Battles & Focus Fire
In 50v50 or 100v100 scenarios, the simulator applies "Perfect Focus Fire" logic. This represents the theoretical maximum efficiency of an army. The simulation calculates the exact number of hits needed to kill one enemy unit and distributes attacks accordingly.
Resource Efficiency
Our Resource Efficiency tracker calculates the total value of units lost (Food + Wood + Gold). Even if your elite unit survives with 10 HP, the damage taken represents a "cost" that is factored into the efficiency rating.
